Vintage 1960's Tricycle Hedstrom Double Step Tricycle (American Made) - Toys & Games - By Owner - Sale
I bought it from a lady who was the original owner of it when she was a little girl. It has a lot of memories attached to it as she was reluctant to sell it.
From the research I have done it is an American made Hedstrom Double Step Tricycle. The logo was painted over in the 70s according to the original owner.
It would make for a great restoration project but works as is. you just have to ignore the age marks.
As far as damage goes it needs a good paint job. A pin is missing that adjust the seat up and down but any piece of iron rod would work.
It weighs more than a modern tricycle but that is because its made out of real metal and not plastic. Even with the weight of it my daughter is able to pedal and cruise around on smooth surfaces like our hard wood floor (hope my wife doesnt read this posting). It would be great for anyone from the age of 2- 62.
