Vintage Framus Parlor Guitar 1955 Excellent Condition. Guitar Has Arch
This vintage Framus Parlor guitar was made in Germany in 1955. I am the original owner. The guitar is all original. Solid spruce top and solid flamed maple back - - the back is arched. Laminate flamed maple sides. Rosewood fret-board with pearl dot fret-board inlays. Medium frets with little to no fret-wear. Rosewood bridge. Stainless tailpiece. Headstock with Framus decal. Open back tuners with ivory tuner buttons. All tuners in excellent working condition. Truss rod cover on headstock and truss rod easily accessible. Strap buttons, ivory on end of guitar and metal strap button on body of guitar below heel.
Excellent player and beautiful sound. Good bass response and balanced tone across the range. Straight neck, flat guitar top. Great intonation in all positions. Finish is excellent and various nicks and scratches appropriate for a guitar of this age. The following description comes from the Framus website on their vintage guitar page:
Wander-guitars were manufactured since the founding of the company in 1946 and was also the denomination at Framus for beginner models, Spanish models, lady and youth models, etc. Solid fir tops and set mahogany necks are a testament of the early quality work and proven instrument manufacturing traditions. The most striking and certainly most famous model of this kind is the Framus-Camping with its distinctive finish.
This particular model was named the Figaro.
