These dogs do not have to be trained how to guard, they instinctually protect Livestock from invaders and predators. Its their JOB.
Livestock Guardians are a VERY important part of countless Farms around the world!
They help to ensure the safety of farm animals from predators (stray/loose dogs, coyotes, foxes, wolves, bears, etc)...
These are animals who are born and raised specifically to live and work with poultry, goats, sheep, cows, and other livestock on a Farm.

We have 3 Pure-Bred Sarplaninac pups available to approved, WORKING HOMES (with Livestock). (DOB: 12/04/2016)

Powerful, Fearless, Intelligent, and Fiercely Protective, the Sarplaninac forms a VERY strong bond with their human family (and any animals in their care). They are natural guardians and headstrong, independent thinkers that follow commands on their own terms.
These dogs are Gentle Giants with their family, but because they tend to be aggressive towards strangers, so a secure, fenced yard is a MUST.
With their thick coats, this breed is perfect for Alaskan weather.

Sire and Dam are on site.
Both dogs come from larger-than-average lines (our female is 125+lbs).
The Dam has been guarding our livestock for nearly 3 years, and is a VERY dependable and reliable guardian. She deters (and if need be, eliminates) everything from stray dogs and foxes to aerial predators. Her mere presence, and protective nature, is intimidating enough to keep any would-be human predators away as well.
The Sire of this litter was imported to Alaska from Macedonia early this spring. He is young, and still learning the ropes. His father just won the 2016 World Champion title at an International Sarplaninac Dog Show in Macedonia.

Besides this litter (an our 2 adults) there are only 3 other Sars in the state of Alaska. :)

Due to cold temperatures, pups were born in the house, but are being raised in the barn, and have been started on daily introduction to chickens, ducks, geese, and goats. They will be ready to go at the end of January. They will be socialized to people to the best of our ability.
These dogs are considered a Giant Breed, and will need to be on Large/Giant-breed puppy food for the first 2 years of their life.
