Great Road Bike


⭕ This is a fantastic entry level road bike for either racing or entry level touring. I have gotten a ton of good use out of it. I recently upgraded and thought I should pass this down to someone else looking to get a great entry level bike. The bike is well used and would benefit from a tune up that would likely include a new chain. There is some minor damage to the paint of the body from regular wear and tear. The most modest amount of damage is on the crank arms near the pedals. I believe the previous owner must have really beat different pedals on and off.

After riding several different types of bikes, I still think this was my favorite that really hooked me into cycling 3 years ago. I always wanted to come back to this bike. It is light, durable and very responsive. Its a very versatile bike. Comfortable for beginner touring and great for cycling races. My first triathlons were done on this bike. I hope who ever gets this bike enjoys it as much as I did.

It is fitted with continental gator hardshell road tires as described from their website below. These tires are fantastic and have not punctured in 2 years despite riding in an area with lots of goathead thorns. They are slimed for extra protection.

Puncture protection and mileage are the strengths of Hardshell-ProTection. A wider PolyX Breaker®, the specialist against punctures under the tread centre and shoulders provides for great reliability. The threeply - each layer with 60 TPI - carcass covers the entyre tyre and makes it a real bastion against urban detritus. The outer sidewalls of the tyre are reinforced with DuraSkin® fabric providing even more reliablility due to the casing being so well protected. Hardshell tyres are the puncture-resistant flagship amongst racing tyres - produced exclusively in Germany.

It also comes with a Sigma 5.12 speedometer as described by their site: BC 5.12. The speedometer. The classic speedomter for all. So, in a nutshell, if you are looking for a bike that is extremely versatile and even more fun, this is your bike. Many websites have voted this bike as the bests bang for your buck when buying a new road bike. It gives you all the qualities of a higher performance bike (though not up to their level) at a more reasonable price (instead of paying thousands of dollars).
