About the 1x1 Frame:

The frame is the Surly 1x1, a singlespeed mountain bike. It was designed for 26? wheels, big tires (clearance for 2.75?), and single cog and ring drivetrains. Run it with a freewheel, a fixed cog or if you like with an internal gear hub. The 1x1 is made of 4130 CroMoly tubing of our own design, with a custom double-butted main triangle and triple-butted fork blades for a tough yet responsive, lively ride. The geometry is pretty straightforward. . . it rides like a mountain bike. Chainstays are heat-treated for durability. Its got 51mm I.S. disc caliper mounts for braking satisfaction. The fork can be replaced with a 100mm-travel suspension fork, but weve maintained good standover clearance.

About the F.U.N.N. Stiffy Disc Fork:

The FUNN Stiffy Rigid Fork is unique in several ways. Firstly, it is a rigid fork with an axle to crown measurement rivaling many of the most popular suspension forks. Secondly, it is set up for use with a 20mm thru-axle hub. It also generally appears to be ready for abuse. This is one tough fork. The FUNN fork is made from 4130 cromoly steel and features straight, non-tapered legs. Between the legs, under the crown, are two oversized gussets designed to help support the extra length of the fork and reduce fore/aft flex. A machined steerer tube, disc brake mount, and boxy 20mm thru-axle dropouts round out the fork.

About the Bike Build:

This bicycle is 100% custom and you will never see another one like it. It was built to be Hi-visibility with a custom neon yellow powder coat color and reflective Sweetskinz Hazarea tires. The bike has an internal Shimano Alfine 8 speed hub to keep grime and salt air away from the shifting gears and a RaceFace 34 tooth Narrow/Wide front chain ring to keep the chain from slipping and give more torque on steep St Thomas hills. The build is topped off with yellow chain, neon yellow alloy pedals, Bullhorn Handlebars with reverse brake levers. It sports heavy duty disc brakes front and rear with a whopping 203mm front rotor for sure stops on fast decents. This is a great bike for everyday commuting as well as a bomb-proof mountain racer. All new quality components. Wheels are hand built and perfectly trued to roll fast and straight.

The bike comes complete with Speedometer, Water Cage & Bottle, Padded Shoulder Bike Carrier, Matching Hi-Visibility Rain Jacket and front/rear rechargable USB lights for night riding. The tires are also reflective for safety.
