Victorian Oil Paintings Isle Of Man Lighthouse On Mirror With Velvet F


⭕ This is a historical pair of coastal paintings in one frame. Frame is carved wood and brown velvet. These 2 oil paintings have been painted on glass/mirror as there is evidence of silver peelings around edge of the two oval paintings. There is glass over the paintings.
Subject matter is the Isle Of Man.
Each painting has painted words saying what the subject is.
One is of the Port Skillion Douglas Head Lighthouse with a large ship in the distance. You can see a mother and child in the foreground.
The other is a painting of the Loch Promenade at Port Skillion. People walking. Sail boats in water.
The paintings are wonderful and the more I look the more I notice the little details.
Entire piece framed measures 29 by 15 tall.
Backing is secure with a hanging wire.
Paintings have wear and and some of the paint has peeled off while some was taken off on purpose so that the silver from the mirror shows through making a wonderful effect on the paintings adding some shine to the windows in the building and on the walkway.
Frame has corner bumps (very minor) and one chip at top left corner. Otherwise in wonderful condition.
