SHELF CLOCK By Seth Thomas
Made in Plymouth Hollow, Conn. 1842-1865. The clock is a Triple Decker with Gilded Half Columns.
* It has a an 8 day Lyre Movement with see through works.
* The Tablets appear to be Original. I see a couple of minute bubbles in the top glass. The Upper Tablet is a shield, the lower three parrots. The Seth Thomas directions label is in Fair Condition. Small sections have fallen off but can be re glued with extreme care. They are in an envelop.
* The Height is 32 1/2 inches.
* The Mahogany Case is in Good Condition except for some veneer missing on the bottom edges of the case on side panels and on the top right cornice. There are a couple of small chips in the doors. The patina of the wood is outstanding.
* The clock is running.
* This Clock is listed in Tran DeLuys book, American Shelf and Wall Clocks a Pictorial History for Collectors.
This clock was in my Dads collection. It is a collectors item.
